The DuBois Dream is in an incredibly exciting period of time, not just with the upcoming Pro Basketball Season, but also with the AAU & Youth Basketball Program Season this Spring and Summer. It has always been the vision of the DuBois Dream to put an entire Organization together that builds and develops its basketball players from the ground up, and this new re-brand of the “DuBois Dream Basketball Association” is just the beginning. Local Photographer, Graphic Designer and Creative Artwork Specialist, Shirley Dahrouge of A Days Dream Fine Art and Portraiture, has helped bring that vision to life for the DuBois Dream with a brand new Association Logo and Seal.
Shirley spent countless hours re-working and re-designing this logo to capture what the DuBois Dream is all about and where this Organization is heading in the future. When asked about the new logo and seal and the thought behind it Shirley stated:
The new DuBois Dream Basketball Association Logo and Seal is adorned primarily in Blue, Black and White; the updated blue is of a dark, richer hue of blue than that of the original DuBois Dream logo. A darker, royal blue is viewed as elegant, rich, sophisticated, intelligent and representative of superiority, as well as faithfulness, loyalty and trustworthiness. In an effort to pay homage to the City of DuBois, a band of white beads outlines the outermost part of the seal, surrounding the shield. The band of white beads is representative of rosary beads; to be protected and surrounded in one’s faith. Furthermore, the shape of the shield is also paying homage to the drawing from the city’s shield, as well. The shield is being held by a dragon; the team’s mascot, which signifies courage, power, and that of glory, burning devotion and spirituality. Within the shield, the DuBois Dream logo of a basketball encompassed by a crescent moon and three stars, which will forever link the Association with the DuBois Dream name and original logo. This design is book-ended by “2016,” the inaugural year of the DuBois Dream Organization.

This new re-branded logo and seal will now help considerably with;
- Inclusiveness through a brand that represents the entire Organization, and not just the DuBois Dream Professional Minor League Basketball Team.
- Professionalism by having a brand that is versatile, consistent and clear.
- Progress by implementing a new branding that can progress the image of our Organization and the progress that we will be able to match on and off the court from our Youth Basketball Players all the way up to our Professional Basketball Players.
We plan to roll out this re-brand over a period of time which will allow our fans to see this Logo and Seal and know what the entire DuBois Dream Basketball Association is all about. This will not take the place of the current DuBois Dream Logo, however it will only enhance what our Team and Association is focused on moving forward. With the upcoming Pro and Youth Tryouts this weekend, we could not be more excited to get this Logo out there and continue building as an entire Association what we have worked so hard to do up to this point.
As an Organization, we would like to thank our fans, sponsors and community for your support in helping our DuBois Dream Basketball Association grow to over 100+ Basketball Players within our Organization, and we cannot wait to see where this re-brand and new mindset takes us in the near future!
