On a frigid night in DuBois, PA, it was anything but cold in the DuBois Area Middle School Gymnasium as the Dream came away with a win in a high-scoring matchup against the visiting Shoreline Wolves, 125-121. The debut of newly acquired DuBois Dream Guard, Juwan Willis, did not disappoint, as he put up an impressive 42 point, 13 assist, double-double to lead the Dream to victory. His 42 points are the most in a Dream debut since Nick Novak dropped 55 points in his debut for the Dream back in 2020.
The Dream boasted a balanced attack on Saturday as Tony Acrie had his third consecutive double-double with 27 points and an eye-popping 24 rebounds, followed by Chance Wright (22 points), Albert Varacallo III (17 points), Dorian Connors (14 points) and Connor Holobinko (12 points) all finishing in double figures. Shoreline was led by the hot shooting duo of Demetrius Lake (56 points) and Adrian Cobb (43 points) who proved to be a tough matchup for the Dream all night.
DuBois will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Chautauqua, NY, to take on their long-time PBL rival the Chautauqua Hurricane, before coming back home to welcome the Lancaster Thunder to DuBois on Saturday, February 12th.
